We follow global and local fragrance safety standards, including RIFM and IFRA, evaluate ingredient restrictions, ensures skin-safe formulations through in-house protocols, and continuously monitor market performance and scientific developments to refine our policies.
How does Aveeno® ensure the safety and quality of its skin scents?
We begin with 3,000 potential fragrance ingredients and narrow them down to 1,500 IFRA (International Fragrance Association) approved ingredients, screened for sensitization and allergy risks (and eliminating 88 known allergens). From there, fewer than 500, less than 20%, meet Aveeno® rigorous standards, ensuring minimal irritants and delivering signature mood-lifting scents.
